The Willingness to Fail
“So never give up. Without commitment, you’ll never start. More importantly, without consistency, you’ll never finish…fall down seven times, get up eight.” – Denzel Washington
You’ve got to have the willingness to fail. The willingness to get back up again and again and again. Can you do it?
Acting–this life–is not easy. If it was easy, we wouldn’t have mentors. We wouldn’t have those we admire. We would not appreciate the wins, however small they might be, without going through difficulty first. And the thing is, is that we have to be willing to go through the turmoil of rejection, the comparison game–try as hard as we might not to, the doubt, the fear.
And if you’ve been following along, we 10000% encourage and support and preach positivity. But in this instance, we suggest to go ahead and fail. Because when you fail, 9 times out of 10, you learn more from the experience than you would with a win. Stay humble with your wins, celebrate them, but celebrate the fails too. It means you’re on your way. The path may get a redirection, but that’s great news.
Be willing to fail, friends. You are strong and powerful just by willing to go through it.
