A New Year is coming!

“Ring out the old, ring in the new,

Ring, happy bells, across the snow:

The year is going, let him go;

Ring out the false, ring in the true.” —Alfred Lord Tennyson

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” – Michael Altshuler

The end of the year is a great time for taking stock of where you are on your personal and actor journeys.  A good place to start is to reflect on the past year. Create an end-of-year ritual for yourself.  Start with gratitude. Write down what you are thankful for this year. Move on to your accomplishments. Consider all you have learned and how you have grown.  Take a moment to celebrate that. On a new piece of paper, write down the things that may not have gone according to plan.  Write down what you want to leave in 2021.  Once completed considering safely burning or ripping this paper up to symbolize leaving it behind.

Looking forward to 2022, set some intentions for the new year.  Do you intend on getting new credit, agent, and building a new skill set?  Break down your intentions into small actionable steps.  Intentions are a great tool because they allow you to commit to your goals but not attach.  Many things are in flux, and this allows you to remain open to the mysteries and abundance of the new year.  Perhaps something even better is in store for you.  We at Shari Shaw Studios are so grateful to be a part of your journey and cannot wait to work with you on those 2022 intentions in the New Year.
