However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” – Stanley Kubrick

“A visionary is one who can find his way by moonlight and see the dawn before the rest of the world.” – Oscar Wilde

We’ve collectively gone through major trauma in the last couple of years.  It’s been a bumpy ride.  As actors, we help the world feel and tell their stories so we are trained to feel things on a deep level.  This is both a blessing and at times quite difficult.  As we move from the darkness of the Covid 19 pandemic to hopefully a more equitable and lighter future, it is okay to have growing pains and feel a multitude of emotions especially as we try to celebrate the holiday season.  Consider giving yourself the gift of a mindful moment to take stock of your emotions.

A mindful moment can be as simple as going on a walk around the neighborhood and seeing the pretty lights to clear your head or making yourself a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream.  Ask yourself how do I feel today?  Take it a step further and journal your thoughts.  Perhaps you will spark an idea for a great new project.  At the very least, you will fully feel your complex emotions and be able to be fully present not only in your work but in your everyday life.  And rest easy in the knowledge that you are not alone, navigating these unprecedented times.  We look forward to sharing energy with you at the studio and online.
