Let’s say you are stuck in traffic for your big audition, what are you gonna do? You could freak out and show the casting director that you are nervous because you are late, or you can remain calm and composed and show them that although you are 5 minutes behind, you still are at the best of your ability. Winds of change will come, how you let them define you is up to you. They come in many vast forms, some life-altering, some… Just changes of plans. Chances are, you love being in control of what you do, who doesn’t? It’s not a bad thing. In fact, it is human nature to live off our routines but always expect the unexpected.
Accept that things happen…
It is to understand and accept that it happens, not just to you, but to everyone. Big or small you’ll be prepared that life is not dynamic, not static
Think before you act!
Take time, it’s okay. Deal with how you are going to react, there is a difference between a reaction and a response. The first 30 minutes when an unexpected event occurs are the most difficult, but allow yourself to distress and think.
“Pray for the best, prepare for the worst, and expect the unexpected!” -Gary Busey
You aren’t in control of what happens to you, but YOU are in control of how you respond to it. What happens is NOT IN YOUR HANDS, it’s just how you handle it. In the long run, it is a learning opportunity.
Always expect the unexpected…
