Challenging Yourself
Challenging yourself is difficult in the moment, but once you’ve gone through the dark and seen the light at the end of the tunnel, the growth and the strength is 100% worth it.
When you have a goal to tone up or lose a few pounds, and you work hard to make it happen, and because of that hard work, you lost the weight or see the fruits of your labor with toned arms, you feel great, am I right? You’re proud of yourself and in turn, you’ve built confidence. Same goes for any difficult emotions you might go through. You grow through what you go through.
And as an actor, you’re in no short supply of challenges! Emotions, a role outside your comfort zone, networking, putting yourself out there, being vulnerable–all of these are big challenges you face on the daily. And in order to make sure you’re at your best to make all of the above happen, exercise and health plays a big role, too.
There are so many things you can do right now to take action to challenge yourself and therefore–better yourself. And to avoid overwhelm, take it one challenge at a time. Your timeline is up to you, but challenging yourself is the only way to grow. And growth is where you find success.
